Need a bit of help.. - 10-12-2006, 12:20 PM
It may sound nOObish to some of you but I'm a nOOb at Photoshop so whatever.. Can someone tell me how to create the little diagonal line things? Like on this fanbar?

He said diagnal lines...go to google and type in userbar tutorial...best way to describe how to do it.

Uuuh I mean the lines.. Thanks for that anyway though.. Like the lines in DeXtA's Fanbar in my sig.. I need to know how to do them.. ;o

You can simply download a scanline pattern pack @ deviantart. Just search for scanlines or something. once you get the scanline file downloaded (its a .pat file), you then put it in your photoshop folder, under patterns: Program Files > Adobe > Photoshop CS2 > Presets > Patterns. I usually just use them to fille shit, like in my sig below. Make a new layer Edit > Fill. They usually look best at about 10-20 % opacity. Now,don't get carried away with scan lines, they can really make a sig look sweet, or ruin it completely. Theres a lot of predjudice against scan lines so another reason to not overuse them is becuase you will be called a newb ![]() ~CaL
