$1,000 Gaming Video Contest

I'm pleased to announce the $1,000 Gaming Video Contest. This contest is brought to you by GameFly where you can select from over 5,000 titles to rent with free shipping both ways and no late fees.

All video submissions are due by June 8th, 2008. There will be no deadline extensions and 3 months will allow plenty of time for you to submit your masterpiece. Payout tiers and contest guidelines are listed below.

Payout Tiers are as follows:

1st Place: $500
2nd Place: $250
3rd Place: $150
4th Place: $100

5th - 8th Place will receive a free GamingVidz Premium Membership.

Details on the GamingVidz premium membership can be found here. (you must be a registered member to upgrade your account)

Contest Details:

A video created from any game can be entered in the contest.

The video can be a collaborative effort between two or more gamers (if you place in the money you can split your earnings however you'd like to)

The video must be at least 2 minutes in length, but not longer than 10 minutes in length.

The video absolutely must contain the GamingVidz.com intro and/or the HaloBoards.com intro in the beginning of the game video.

Other websites are allowed to be mentioned in the video as long as the video is released here first. If your video is found to have been released on another website prior to this contest and simply "repackaged" for use in this contest it will be disqualified.

Videos must be submitted to the Video Review Forum and pass through their approval process. So make sure you spend some time collecting good footage and editing it well.

*Any videos that were submitted for the previous contest will also still be eligible for this contest. But please use the new contest guidelines above for all future submissions.*

*Side note, I want to apologize for the length of time it took for this contest to be finalized but I want to assure you the deadline will not be pushed back any further. This is also why the prize pool has been raised up to $1,000 too.*

I increased the prize pool of the old contest along the same lines of the initial $1 a day reasoning of the first one.

I truly am sorry that it was delayed / not really done. Perhaps I should buy one of those "I never finish anything" shirts I EAT SNOT was mentioning earlier? (that was another zing )

But I assure you this contest will happen so start submitting!

I actually like GameFly quite a bit, I signed up for a subscription and will let you know how it turns out. I want to rent Lost Oddesy (however it's spelt)
