New site rules (don't worry they're for the greater good) - 08-03-2006, 12:21 PM

1 - Signatures can now no longer extend past a users gamercard. Test this by making a one line post (if your sigs already protrude past your gamercard, please remove parts of them until it fits) This is done to help reduce the amount of scrolling you need to do. And also, please no suggestive signatures (this is a gaming forum after all).

Any signature that extends beyond the gamercard is too large and will be altered (use the one line post to test this). This will go into full affect on this Sunday the 6th of August.

2 - Spamming is now a bannable offense. If you continue to make worthless threads and posts then you will be banned. If you get banned for spamming do not go make a another account please. This is being done to help reduce clutter.

(I'll never understand the reason for spamming as it's an entire waste of both your time as well as the readers)

3 - Name Changes are now based on the length of time you've been at the site and not your post count. You will only be allowed one name change once every six months. I'd prefer that no one wanted their name changed... but things happen so I'll allow name changes for those that have been with the site for six months. Only once every six months though please.

4 - Don't be a dick - this was the only rule the site was founded on, but many felt it necessary to add some of the additional rules above.

If you are continuously found to be causing trouble and being an all around jerk to site members then you will be banned.

I'd rather have a small group of really cool people then a large group of lamers and some cool people i.e. H2F

None of the above rules are meant as a threat, rather they are merely meant to create some changes that will improve GamingVidz as a whole.

Yeah, I really like the sig rule... there are some freakishly large sigs here... and a few of us have been *****ing about it for a while...

Is there any way that double-posting can be combined into the origional post? Like... it's hard to explain... but on SeasonedGamers.com... if you quote one person, and then reply, and then go back and need to quote someone else... when you quote the second person and reply... it automatically gets added into your first post... it's a really nice feature, and it reduces 'cluttery' double...and triple posts, without the hassle of having to go back and edit your own post and copy and paste a quote... just to quote someone else with your response.

for the sig rule do you mean each indivudual sig cant be thicker than the gamer card? because what if we write a long message? then they will extend pass the gamer card wont they? oh and theyre should be a limit not including fan buttons.

if you have a 1 line response, your sig space cannot go below your gamercard. i think you sir will have your sig edited in no time.

Exxxaaaaactly... a lot of people here will have their sigs edited in no time. I think to help out on the sig-editing... Moderators should be able to edit sigs... if that's even a posibility.

Nice, rules.
I like that with the small community thing, and the bannable spam thing.

Congrats on admin.

When I begin making sigs again I'll encourage my recipients to wear one only, in order to cut down on admin sig scouting/policing.
