I know what you mean about music it's jsut that i like most music and nearly all types exept and i'll only talk bad about montage music if i don't think it suited the editing/gameplay style of the montage maker or if it was REALLY bad and actually hurt my ears.

lol Well, im not the least bit worried about this "New Rule". GVs has my 2nd montage with over 1,000+ downloads to it, it was in the top 10 of the site at least,they've hosted my 3rd..over 1,000, they hosted my 4th...over 1,000, I highly doubt my 5th wont get hosted. Besides, if it didnt they would be missing ALOT of views, because once any of my montages are released I market that sh*T lol. I make sure eeeeeeeeverybody knows about it.

But, overall I like the new rule because lately some of these montages are a waist of time, I kinda wish the more experienced montage makers start coming out. Haha, but dont worry folks, in due time......in due time. lol

IF YOU TAKE THE TIME, TO MAKE YOUR MONTAGE, AND MAKE IT LOOK GOOD, have actual editing, not just EFFECTS TO MUSIC!, and you make us believe you took your time, have good gameplay, above average editing, regardless of the music, it will be fine

Here are my thoughts...

I think this idea is good. There are times where we don't get any montages for like 5 days.. so with higher standards this might mean very few montages. However, it's good because I don't have to see a bunch of lame boring kills and end up writing a review I've done 500 times.

Also, I think Frank posted this... that regular members should have an easier time getting it hosted. It should be harder to get hosted if you don't post here.

I don't think members should get an auto host, but there should definitely be some bias here.


I am 100% for not allowing completely random people (never visit, post, or play with us) getting average at best montages hosted.

Agreed. Someone like me, who is an active member of the GV community, and who honestly is not very good at Halo and has no experience with video editing, should at least be equal to a non-member with an impressive montage.
