New Video Hosting Policy

From now on, all videos sent to me which want to be hosted will have to go through a more advanced process than the usual 'if i think its good enough ill host it'. As of now all videos sent to me (with the GV intro) will be downloaded and watched by me, then i will post the link in the 'GamingVidz Team' forum section (a hidden section that only GV team members can see, ooooo secret section.....), then all of the team members will watch the montage and review it, think of them like a montage committee if you will, after they have given an indepth review they will tell me either 'Yes' or 'No' whether they think it should be hosted or not, i will then tally up the votes and choose to host it or not dependin on the outcome of the votes, in the event of a draw i will cast the decidin vote.

So thats how video hostin is gonna work around here nowadays, hopefully this will encourage new montage makers to perfect their 'masterpieces' before submittin them for hostin and in the long run bring everybody a much better selection of videos hosted on GamingVidz.

Hope you all find this new policy acceptable (originally thought up by Ephrum ) and agree that it will only benefit the site further. Any questions feel free to post them in this thread or PM me, thanks.

Unfortunatly... we already have a ton of people who are part of the GV staff... and unfortunatly, a lot more people will want to be staff in order to have some kind of 'vote' on which montages end up hosted and which ones don't... But I'll keep you in mind and toss your name out if it ends up that we do need more people for 'judging'... since I know you have HBO MPRRS experience

Also... this doesn't mean that just because a montage doesn't end up hosted, that everyone shouldn't post it in our vidz data base... as well as link to it in the forums (since the forums generally tend to be much 'nicer' critiquing videos and leaving feedback... there are a lot of people who mainly post in the vidz database who are ass-holes, haters, and lame-o's... and they give GV a bad name... I'm going to be trying my hardest to patrol the vidz database and try and restore some order in there.

Another note... by having the GV team review montages in order to decide what gets hosted and what doesn't... we're not doing this to be mean or whatever... we just want to encourage people to slow down and take their time while making montages... as of now, it's too much of a 'oh I can throw this together and it'll be hosted!' kind of thing... which it really shouldn't be.
