Hey, I've read the tutorials and such, but I was just wondering how much it would cost to get all the materials needed? I have the basics right now, TV, AV cables, Xbox, and Halo 2.

$50 after mail in rebate from best buy was the cap card. I got the cables on discount, so not sure about those.

The audio splitters were like 2 bucks each (total of 3)

Hot diggity! But the cap card is really useful, so I might invest in one anyways. Thanks for the help.

BTW, I think I saw your montage on halo-pro. Good shit.

The capture card he uses is internal. So, if you not comfortable opening up your PC and putting it in, you'll have to pay extra money at a Best Buy or Compusa to have them install it for you.

Damn right

Dazzle 90 $79.99 USB Capture Card
Dazzle 150 $129.99 USB Capture Card

The Dazzle 150 already has RCA (red, yellow, white) inputs and outputs, so you don't need to buy splitters if you get that one.

EDIT:
HaloGod, what settings do you use when exporting through Adobe Media Encoder?

Well, if you can install an internal card, get the ATI TV Wonder Pro. If you can't do that, look for a card like the Dazzle 90 or Dazzle 150.

You'll need audio/video splitters though if you use the Dazzle 90 or the ATI TV Wonder Pro. Unless you plan on using a DVD Recorder or VCR.
