Halo 2 montages as of now are absolutely NOTHING like real films... NOOOTHING... Halo 2 montages (for the most part...obviously with very subtle differences) show the same few maps (scenery)... the same kind or type of kills (story or plot line)... in usually similar or the same situation (story or plot line)... and the editing 90% of the time has absolutly NOTHING to do with the game play unless it's syncing the kills to the music... stupid color changes, throwing in the 'lightray' filter here and there as whatever editor feels needed (usually having nothing to do with the music or clip 'styling')...
I will say, you are one of the 5 Halo 2 editors that I actually concider to be 'origional' or 'unique'... your ideas are usually awesome, and origional... so I'm not talking about you.
But my view on the situation stands...

i completly agree with you for most of that
i just dont agree with you on ...if you dont edit your on montage, than you dont desrerve one....for alot of people montages are just entertainment, thats it.....but for people like you and me, they are works of art, and they take time, and work, and creativity...because we look at them differently
oh and by the way ...you sound like kindred lol.....wich is a good thing because he knows his shit....iv been talking to him lately over aim.......
