Frames Dropping/Compression. - 05-16-2007, 01:43 PM

So I finally got my DVD Burner installed and downloaded Studios 10 for the Pinnacle, my problem is it says My computer may not be fast enough for mpeg quality.

MPeg or AVI, both ways the frame rates are dropping like mofos. So is there any way I can fix this without buying a new computer. Otherwise I can use virtual dub which is pretty good quality, but the files are huge and I don't know how to compress them.

If anyone can solve my compression problem or my frames dropping I'd greatly appreciate it.

yeah, u need a good 512 MB RAM, or 1 GB if u want to multitask whist you record, plus if ure gonna record AVI, u need a good size hard drive, another thing, drefrag ure hard drive(s), that helps speed up the recording process

Yeah, more RAM would probably do it.
