Capture Card Problem, this is a wtf one - 05-18-2007, 07:58 AM
okay heres the story, one day bout 2-3 weeks ago, i downloaded a bunch of different things, from what i can remember i got nero 7, updated ATi Video Card Drivers (Radeon 9550), some codec packs, and other things, now when i go to record in vdub, i "insert" frames, i dont drop even 1, just insert them, wtf!, now from watching the video inserting frames makes the video choppy, so, i uninstalled everything i downloaded that day except the drivers, and i still have the problem, any idea what might be causing it?? OH!!! BTW!!!! i can capture fine in ATi TV
EDIT: i forgot to say what capture card im using, ATi TV Wonder Pro, also im on 1 gig ram EDIT: okay i found out that its an AVI problem, i think when i installed/then uninstalled the codec packs, it removed some of my original AVI codecs, can someone help me out and give the original AVI codecs? You cant tell me you dont get the same quality. If you dont, then its the setting you are using.
Every program is the same. When you capture, youre going to get certain quality. Then you have to render it at a worthwhile resolution (720x480) and at whatever bitrate you want to use, depending on your quality vs filesize contraints. People usually use bitrates between 1500kbps and 3000kbps. These things are common in ANY program you use. And no, Im sorry, I wont go into more detail because there ar eliterally THOUSANDS of tutorials on this already. I odnt need to spend the time typing it all out for like the 400th time.
