[HELP!]ATI TV Wonder Pro[HELP!] - 08-30-2005, 11:03 PM

Alright you guys, I need some help here.

About a week ago, I went and bought the capture card (ATI TV Wonder Pro), and I just installed it and everything in the PCI Slot is fine, but it isn't working on the computer.

When I installed all of the software onto the computer, the software had no difficulties, but when it came around to trying out the card. It says that there are computer errors.

Here are the errors that it says are happening:
  • DirectX Components are not installed correctly
  • Capture driver INF files are not installed
  • DMA for Hard Drive operations may not be enabled
I went through all of the steps that the troubleshoot has to offer, but it came to be no good. I ran the computer scan again on the ATI Card Config and it came up with the same errors (and I did reboot).

I just created the computer and everything is in working order. Here are the specs if they will help at all:
  • Intel Pentium 4 630 Processor w/ HT Technology 3.0 Ghz
  • Asus P5800 Motherboard
  • 250 Serial ATA Hard Drive
  • Radeon 9600 xt
  • Kingston 1GB DDR400
Everything for the capture card is connected and looks as if it should be working. But it's not. The software on the computer won't see it. I tried upgrading the drivers, but the same thing happened.

I don't know what to do, could someone please help. Either post here or IM me on AIM or MSN:

AIM: CreaseMonkeyKing
MSN: DiseasedPiano@hotmail.com

Please Help Me...If I need to post anything else, let me know

P.S. If I posted this in the wrong place, Mod's please move it

Let me know if there is anything you need me to add for you

I just put your post here, currently we don't want to advertise other sites. Did you read TheHaloGod's tutorial? Its right above the location that you posted at.

Yes, I'm sorry. I should have thought about that before I posted. But I spent time to make the post, so I just copied pasted, sorry.

*Edit* Yeah, I saw the post, but it didn't really effect what is happening with my computer.

Did you read my post? Also ATI tech help support line works well. Often if you're having trouble that you're describing, you should just plain uninstall and reinstall.

Do you have the cable that connects from the capture card to the mother board?

Post your results. And be sure to use TheHaloGod's tutorial, since he has the same cap card as you.
