dvc dazzle 90 device

im having some problems getting my device even working i have installed the two discs you get with the dazzle 90 and i have my xbox on scart leads going to the back of my t.v and i have3 phono to phono video cables going from the front of my t.v to the dazzle 90 with the usb going to the laptop now i start the pinnacle quickstart program and click start capture but nothing appears i cant work out how to get a picture plus the dazzle 90 light on the device keep going out and turns off and the only way to get them back on is by taking the usb out and sticking it back which does crash my laptop please could someone tell me what im doing wrong.

my laptop requirements are 3.2 ghz processer and ati mobility radeon 9700 64mb.

So you have the cables from the front of your TV going to your Dazzle 90? Most likely, those are audio/video inputs, not outputs. The specs of your laptop pretty much guarantee that you have USB 2.0. I am almost positive its the cable setup, make sure the ones going from your TV to your computer are video outputs.

Same thing that Fragger said. I use Dazzle DVC 90 and what i do is i run the xbox into 3 y splitters (about $3 apiece from radioshack), 3 outputs go to my TV and the other three go to the Dazzle. So i think you should go get some y splitters from radioshack.

I had the exact same problems with my capture device! Make sure firstly that your U.S.B 2.0 are working properly. Next make sure that you put your standard of T.V in. I have a PAL T.V so why did I have the set it to NTSC??? Dont know but try it!!!! Next put your T.V to 50hz. You can do this via the Xbox dashboard. If that dosnt work......ask someone like Rippon

ive tried all the settings but the thing that i cant work out is the light on the dvc 90 keeps going out everytime i try to change the settings so whats that about ??????????????????

I really dont know then! Make sure that you have U.S.B 2.0 and that you set the T.V standard to 50 mhz. Any body else have any answers to this guys problem, thrust me its really annoying

dont worry about it dexta i will work it out eventually its so frustrating is there any other external devices that are less confusing..
