I have Windows Movie maker, Adobe premier, vegas 5.0 and Vegas 6.0, is it possible to make customs effects with one of them?

but i mean where do i start looking?
There is no button whatsoever that resembles to effect customization.

For example, I want to make the screen explode like if it was glass and when it does, it goes to the next clip....how would i do that?

Well I really dont know how to use anything other that WMM (sorry I am an editing n00b!) Click on a clip and then click on tasks. There sould be an option saying effects. Click that and drag a desired effect onto the clip. EASY
 Ask TheHaloGod for info on the others.

Yeah. Um. Look in transitions, there might be something that you are looking for in there (for both WMM and Premiere)
And if you mean make your own effects? Closest thing I can tell you to my best of knowledge is to get Adobe After Effects, and try to understand it. (Hard stuff) Good luck.
