Video Capture Cables-What You Need! - 03-12-2006, 03:58 PM

Direct Capture

This is when you plug your capture cables directly into your comp...not the best way for making a montage but maybe for short clips!
-Phono-stereo leads.

TV/Computer Setup
This is more ideal for making montages or gameplay videos because you can see using your TV, whats happening!!!

-phono splitter -video phono lead.

I found this on Halo.Bungie.org and I thought that it might be useful for all of those who are stuck on how to capture I personally have'nt got these yet but I will do soon.

Thanx for reading

Instead of using a Phono cord I have a composite cable leaving the Tv-Out on my tv going into my capture card.

Do you think the quality of the video would be higher perhaps or more responsive if I did it the way you showed?

Appreciate the info Dexta.. but for me I use the s-video AV pack from xbox and I hook the s-video part into my cap card, put the yellow in my tv, and then I use a couple RCA splitters (which can be found at RadioShack) to split the audio into the tv and into the cap card.. S-video gives a superb picture to the capture...

Yupp, same here...altho, I didn't start doing that until recently, when I realized that I had an s-video cable that I wasn't using coming out of my Xbox...I'm a retard.

I used to use the S-Video into capture card then AV into my TV. That is the best qlality for your TV method. I really need to get my Xbox 360 S-video splitter.
