Question about my capture (Dazzle DV 90) (trying to get better resolution)

Alright...so here it goes... this is part one of my two part question...

I have a Dazzle DV90 capture card, it's pretty decent for the price I payed for it, but I'd like to consistantly get a better resolution out of it. Sometimes the resolution turns out really good, and most of the time it turns out horrible... I've been using Windows Movie Maker...but there aren't a whole lot of custom capture settings (if any??) that I've found to be usefull... I also have Adobe Premire 6.5, and I've been messing around with that one seeing what I can get out of it.

My question is...what is a solid setting to use for Adobe to get good picture, without dropping a lot of frames, and without leaving all those crazy "static lines" in my capture whenever I twitch my trigger, or make a sudden movement? Does anyone else use the Dazzle DV90 that's found anything really good that works with (instert program here)? Or should I just pitch the 90 and go out looking for a capture card that will both a. be more expensive, and b. suit my needs much better...

*edit* ohh, and also... when I try to capture through Premire...it never captures any sound, I've tried messing around with the sound settings, but nothing has worked so far...any help there would be huge as well...thanks

I usually put my settings on 512 broadband settings which isnt the best quality but it wont use all of your memory!!! Try going onto your settings on the dazzle sfotware and fidlling with uit there If that dosnt work I have no idea what to do
