How many GBs do you guys recommend for the full process of capturing, compressing, and editing videos?

when i started making my montage (which never got finished and ended up deleting the space so I could fill it with flicks) it took up about 35 gigs of uncompressed but cut up footage.

When I made my last montage (waaaaaaay back in Sep 2005) I used roughly 25-30 GB of uncompressed. Use about 35 to be on the safe side

50gig external hard drive solely for video will work just fine. 100g should be a perfect amount if you want to backup music as well. you can get both for under 100 dollars.

all my stuff takes up 8 gbs... but that is compressing each separate kill(s) (101 clips) with huffyuv.... but as soon as i render the clips from the games, i delete the recorded games, to help save hard drive, im on a very limited hard drive, i got about 20 gb to work with, so i save as much hd as possible... if you do everything right, you can get it under 15 gbs...
