if you have any tips on how to get better quality than that plz let me know..it looks incredable avi un compressed tho...maybe i need a new way of compressing..can anyone show me a good way

I used the Windows Media Encoder that I posted here a while back (I think it's on the 3rd page in the video editing section). Just the 32 bit one... encode at 2mbps - 640x480... it drops your file size barely hurting your quality. Some other people have had problems with it, but I just think they were using it wrong. It works great for me.

yea seconded i love that encoder. it damn well pwns. oh yea and that newer vid has got noticable better quality, not HUGE, but noticable.

I capture at constant 8196kbs(8mbs) with S-video and 224kbs for audio.
640x480 mpeg2 100% quality frame based http://craign.members.ktis.net/capt.mpg here is composite hookup(yellow plug) http://craign.members.ktis.net/capture.mpg for gameplay i convert to wmv at 1mbs 640x480 http://craign.members.ktis.net/2v2ce.wmv (I forgot to check audio and it is low) for montage I will have it at 2mbs |
