WMV comveting to MPEG - 04-18-2006, 01:56 PM

does anyone know a way to convert a wmv file to a mpeg because like i said in a different thread, i lost all of my footage, but i found a file that wasn't lost that has about half of my footage, but my software won't work with wmv so i was hoping there is a way to convert it into mpeg, anyone know how?

You'll probably need to buy a program for that. I bought FLash DVD Ripper a while back when I was using a DVD recorder, it can convert files to mpeg, vcd, avi, and svcd. If you have adobe Premiere you could open the file then save it as an alternate one. Premiere has many file types you can save as.

Well, a long time ago in this very forum I posted a link to a very awesome program that converts anything to anything and doesn't really lose quality. I don't remembe the link offhand but the program is calld WinAVI Converter. And you'll need to google a serial code for it too. But that program is amazing.
