Hiding HUD on Halo

Does anyone know how to hide the HUD and the gun? I've seen it done before, they used black bars to hide them. I think i've heard people say that you need to add coding or something. Red Vs. Blue is a perfect example, the use the bars to hide the gun and HUD at the top. Can anyone help me out here?

well theres 2 things you can do. get a hudless mod orrr you can do the no-weapon glitch. set up a ball game, charge a plasma up (no secondary weapon) and pick up the ball, release the ball and you wont have any weapons. its a good cameraman glitch. then you just throw 2 black solids over your window and ur set.

In campaign, theres a super easy way to have nothing on your screen, but im not sure if you can have it on multiplayer.

EDIT: Quick question, does just hide the gun, or everything on the screen?

EDIT: Yeah, you can get the skull in campaign, but it works in campaign only, not multiplayer. It'd be cool though.

The OddBall glitch works well for hiding your gun. Just don't walk over any weapons or you'll pick em up!
I'm sure you can add the black bars on your video editing program...not sure how yet though...

Yea, don't worry though, I highly doubt I'm going to take you're idea, and i don't think i'll post it after i make it. Maybe...who knows...

to add the black bars in after effects make 2 black solids. in premiere make a new black video layer, just drag it into the workarea twice
