what it is?
A printed circuit board that fits into an expansion slot on a computer and provides functionality for capturing video from an external source. However, a cap card may be external. In this case... the printed circuit board is inside of a casing and attacthes to your computer as a peripheral device.

if its internal, it will go into an open PCI slot in you computer

External cards take no installtion besids installing the program on the computer.
Internal cards are very easy to install, even if you are not a computer genious. Just open your computer, put the card in an empty PCI slot... close computer, install software.

Usually, an internal card will come with detailed instructions for installation

I can install it fine. When I say "how it works" iI"m wondering not only its rating as far as "user friendliness" goes, but how you work it.

Do you open up the program on your computer, then just start playing on your xbox? Do you have to do anything with your xbox?

Just explain further the process of, once you have the card, then how do you capture the video.

I'm sure the instructions that come with the card will tell you, but I'd like to hear from a person who actually has used one.
