Motion thingo :P - 10-15-2005, 01:08 AM

G'day fellas, a question from australia

I'm capturing with InterVideo WinDVR 3 at

Format: MPEG-2 DVD

Audio:
Format: MPEG-1 Layer II
Sampling Rate: 48.0 kHz 16-bit Stereo
Bit Rate: 384 KBits/sec

Video:
Size: 720x480
Frame Rate: 29.97 frames/sec
Bit Rate: 9000 KBits/sec

And when i move, i get this "double image" type thingies

Video Example

I've been fiddling with some settings and no changes, then i found the advanced video settings and im thinking that these options have something to do with it.

Here's a description the box gives of all the options.
GOP INFO
GOP- Set GOP (Group of Picture) Value - Distance between I frames
Sub GOP - Set sub GOP value - Distance between I/P frames

Motion Vector
Horizontal - Set horizontal motion search range.
Vertical - Set vertical motion search range.

Yeah thats all the info i can give, please help

You should search more often heh, maybe you didnt know the term though. That my friend is interlacing. You currently are capturing interlaced footage see this great recent thread.

If you can't deinterlace while capturing then doing it after the footage is already captured won't do anything. Find a better program that lets you cap your footage. Are you using the one that came with your capture card?

Get the one that came with your cap card heh, or if you have a good editing program you might be able to capture through that.
