WMV 9 Issues with Vegas - 05-17-2006, 08:16 PM
When I wanna render a project I choose WMV 9 as the file type.
![]() I get this error however... ![]() If I choose a custom template I get this... ![]() I capture in MPEG then use a VirturalDUB to get the clips I want easily and render them as an AVI. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm pretty sure I have the windows media 9 codecs and stuff. HELP! ![]()

Now I remember why didn't try to render as an MPEG.
I get this freakin error! ![]() When I try to register it says my serial # is invalid NOTE I did not buy Vegas got it someother way. Does ANYBODY here have the Sony Main Concept MPEG Plug in they can send me? OR a different serial # I can use or anything that worked for them! I'm desperate, I bought a 30 dollar book to help me with Vegas and I can't use it unless Vegas works for me! ![]()

I can however render as a Quicktime movie without any problem.
I'm not sure how many people have quicktime, I say HAVE to have it cause their are videos on the net that are only quicktime and as long as you pay attention while installing it, it won't be your default media player. ![]()

ok, this happened to me. You have to download a plugin for your computer called
Ace Mega Codecs Pack. Install the one that has every codec in it, then you will be good to go...btw DONT delete the ace mega pack...you have to reinstall it cause it has to stay on your computer |

yay help has arrived!
I remember downloading this awhile back just before I used Vegas, I got rid of it cause nothing else worked...lol My Itunes would no loger open up. AVI files would play only the audio in Windows Media Player. So I'm gonna uninstall it for now, but when I get ready to render my final project and I'll the install it again. Unless you know exzactly what codec it is that was required for me to render as WMV 9? Then I can install just that
