Best bet might be rendering in Vegas as an avi and then using the Windows Media Encoder to change that avi to a .wmv file. It would also drop the file size.

i think you change the template to 3mbps video, and in custom change the frame (something) to Bit VBR peak

*thg here, .amp. asked me to remove him from the site, but to avoid messing with the forum database I simply moved his post count down to zero.

Edit: changing the post count didn't work so I'm just going to leave it for now.*

well the first thing u do in vegas is go to render.
2. Go to 3mps video.
3. click custom
4. On the first thing that shows up, change the video quality to best.
5. Look at the bottom, and click the video tab.
6. Find the drop down thing that has the letters CBR in it. Click it and a drop down should appear. Choose Bit Rate Peak ( or something like that ).
7. Once you have chosen that, look at the bottom, there will be 4 boxes. The top 2 will say 3 mbs and the one on the right will say 6 mbs ( or something like that ). For the one on the left, change it to 2, and the one on the right, change it to 4. ( could be 3 )

thats how i render mine
