Major help needed - 08-16-2005, 07:15 PM
Okay heres the problem:
I use a dazzle: digital video creator 80 i thought it was the 90. and when i connect it all up it wont record to my pc so i am unsure if i have bought the wrong thing. I went out and bought a brand new vcr/dvd combo to play my xbox through cos i heard this is waht u do and then another mate told me that i had too record it onto tape and then send it to my pc. I set it up by puting my xbox into my vcr and my cap card into my tv. I used both studio 9 and wmm and none of them recorded any footage. Im usually good with computers and computer software but this a proper got me confused Have i bought the wrong thing? or just set it up wrong? please help |

Are you sending a video signal from your xbox directly into your capture card (dazzle thing). There should be the ports for video, and two audios. So, it's just a matter of sending a signal from your xbox into the dazzle thing. Also, listen to fragger's post. You should have a cd to install drivers.

I have a Dazzle DVC 90 and from wat I've seen its exactly the same as the DVC 80. So what I do is i hook my Xbox through the VCR to the TV. Then I record everything I want and after I get everything I plug the VCR into the DVC and connect it to the computer. Then you go to the Quickstart program and go to the capture option on top. You have to change the capture device to the Dazzle DVC 80 and you hit play on the VCR and click capture media on the computer. Then you should be good to go. Another thing, that way works fine but quality isnt the greatest in the end, so Im trying to figure out a better way and cut out the VCR.

I am almost positive the Dazzle 80 comes with a couple CDs. One of them has the drivers. If you can't figure it out, don't hesitate to call Pinnacle Systems Tech Support. They are very helpful (from what I have been told at least). Just be warned, a second call costs like $30 or somthing (dumb rule imo.)
