video clips i capture

is there a way where i can just save the clips i want instead of having to keep the hole video like i know i can split the video and stuff but i jus want to kepp the split so i can delete the rest of the video because my cpu sucks and im running out of space someone please help

download VirtualDub you can use it to cut out segments of a clip and then save them individually.
