OmG This is InsanE

I opened Vegas 6.0 for the first time, and I fainted!!! This sh*t looks confusing as hell!!
I just wanted to see what i could do with one of my clips, but holy sh*t this is the most confusing thing i have ever seen!!!!!
So i was wondering if their are any google tutorials or something that could help!?!?!?

Hot Sauce, I don't suggest you open up Premiere pro then

Use Adobe premiere Pro... Adobe Premiere Pro's Layout and set up is 10x simpler and just better to understand then Vegas' jumbled up heap of garbage. I know most editing programs like the back of my hand, and even I got confused in Vegas' POS Interface... god that program is a mess...

well, sturm gave me vegas so im gonna have to figure this stuff out, i wanna do some unique stuff! My first tage prolly will never match ephrums/franks/gunnas...but im gonna try even if it takes me a year! ( thats it tho) lol

but umm..... should i have my songs picked out already? then take clips to sync them, and then just keep adding more? Im not sure if u explained adding music, i got the reverse and splitting part down so far i think....

oh cmon...dont insult other programs just cuz you dont use them

I don't insult Vegas because I don't use it... I insult vegas because I have used it, and because I don't like it. It's just not a good program (IMO)... I absolutly hate the way it's set up (feels sloppy) the effect controlls are hidious... the effects are sooooo limited... and I just dislike the program all-together.

And IMO... the first thing you're gunna want to do when 'creating a montage' is to pick out your songs... so that you know what kind of 'feel' you're going for with it. Put your songs on the timeline first... and pick out which parts of the song you're gunna want to sync clips to, mark them, and then add your clips and just sync them as you go (at least... that's what I do)...
