I already have xvid installed, but how do i actually compress the video now?

not really, you can definitly tell the difference, but then again it is mpeg is about 1/1000 of the file size... a 7 second .avi clip is usually for me around 700megs but with mpeg its about 700kb

Alright, I compressed it with Xvid, a 9 minute clip is down to 229mb.. is that about normal size? and is there anyway I can make it under 100mb and still have good quality?

Yes there is. Put the video into windows movie maker. Your not gonna ended or do anything to it(if you want you cant edited but this just to make the file smaller). Than just save the file to your computer. Its gonna make the file WMV and much smaller.

yeah i did that, it brought it down to about 70mb but the quality is horrible, what can i do to help? or can't i?

Vdub cut it out as an AVI, upload to a program like vegas or premiere or windows movie maker, then encode to WMP and it should be good quality with small size.

if that doesnt work for you I really dont understand what else could be the problem.

But a 9 minute gameplay should not be a big file size at all, I have a 7:30 minute gameplay that is only 52.4 mb

Is it really bad? Cause I do it with my CS 1.6 footage and the quality wasnt to bad...

Ok just do this. Take the whole big file. Put it into WMM and save it to WMV with out compressing it. I dont think the file well be as small but mabye youll have better quality...
