Yea... but a bad example is: ME!!! Do I look like a fat kid that eats potato chips?

If youre gonna stereotype, at least pick one that's remotely convincing. In all reality, probably less than 15% of gamers are fat wastes *.

*Note: This percentage is made up by me. It has no true value. It is only something gathered from my own personal experience at events such as Local tournaments and when I attended MLG NY.

It is probably true that less than 15% of gamers arent over weight but the stereo type of gamers is that they are fat and sit on there coach all day

i think by what most people call "fat wastes" they mean out of shape..there are very skinny people out of shape just as much as fat people...so generally being fat doesnt mean you're the only person who doesnt stay in shape

Your brining up those kind of pictures and I bet that loads of people who play halo play 1 physical sport, not everyone is fat, and in fact not only is that stupid but a waste of worse. Most gamers nowdays are skinny and don't eat at all. Zippy is an awsome example, (No offense chris) he is amazing at games plays a bunch all day, but hes not fat he is the skinniest kid I have ever met in my entire life.

Another xample, go to track, go to hockey play halo for 4 hours I am definently going overboard right?

So, you post pictures of random fat people, none of which are playing video-games. Nice one.

The 'gamer' stereotype is nothing more than exactly that... a stereotype. So, using that as an argument rather than cold, hard facts only makes you look like a f-cking moron... which you are. But I think we all already knew that.

Seriously, Dooky. You pretend to be this all knowledgeable guru of life, when you're... how old? 16? 17? Get over yourself.

You've made the EXACT same post about 5 times in this thread alone. Now I don't know about anyone else. But, that seems like spam to me. You made your point earlier. There is no need to keep reposting it. You have not once added anything to your argument or backed it up in any way shape of form. All you've done is reworded the same exact thing numerous times. Though you seem to THINK you are, you are NOT a good debater. Until you can either up the ante and back up your statements with some real, mature, well thought arguments... just please stop posting.

i was posting those pictures to help disprove the steroe type. Most gaming kids are skinny kids and not fat.

I wasn't saying that sarcastically

Is gaming a sport?

yes it is regardless of what any here thinks it is. it meets the criteria therefore it is....

and as for being out of shape and overweight, i don't know 3 people in my school that i "game" with that are out of shape or overweight. Heck i am constantly on the computer and yet im in near perfect shape, the stereotype is probably the most stupid stereotype i've ever heard and was most likely created by people who are bad at video games in the first place.
