reading this how can you say its not a sport, recreation, activity. I dont see how you could not get games as a sport out of that.

reading this how can you say its not a sport, recreation, activity. I dont see how you could not get games as a sport out of that.

the REAL question is do you respect them as gamers, or as athletes? i will never call walshy or someone in MLG an athlete...because they dont do anything amazing

To answer what you say Smeagz yes I would consider Walshy, the ogres, luck and bon athletes. Do I think they are up to par with me as far as athletics no, I presume they are not as fast, strong, quick, tough as me, but they have certain skills I do not have and that is why I am better at my sports and they are better at theres.

I do not consider them athletes, i consider them gamers which in my opinion is still a sport but it is very much different, the only people i consider athletes are the people that spend their complete lives working their ass off to get what they want, im talking about the pro people that have been doing this stuff since way back when, i do not consider gamers athletes, no more than do i consider poker players, athletes. I only believe things where someone can put everything on the line and put their heart, blood, and sweat into something can count as an athlete.

btw i know that sounds hypocritical, but i am quite hypocritical.

I know why people compare halo and other games to poker, because thats what Walshy compares the halo craze to, but lets be simple here, poker is knowing math and playing your odds. Halo and WoW or CS or any other game is using quick reflexes and your fast twitch muscle fibers to react in game at the same speeded needed in real life if in that situation given the same cirumstances.

Poker not a sport and not athletes, Halo is different.

i dont know....games i would believe a sport, and i guess if you think about it the players are athletes since they play the games...but to me it just does NOT seem like the right words to use at all

In this case... youre 'point' was that your stereotype is correct, and that those people are examples of why you were correct. If you seem to think that by posting the pictures you were saying the opposite of what you said in your post then you need to rethink what youre saying before you post.
