Me thinks the announcement will be about the beta. I can't think of anything else, except for the new H2 maps, but that's really only something current H2 players would care about, not everyone.

Ok so I don't know for sure, but my logic says, since I have it

The H3 Beta option is IN the game, and I doubt they would make a special crackdown for the beta

I would assume as long as you have the game WHILE the beta is available, anyone can go on Crackdown -> Content -> Halo 3 Beta, which is curretnly greyed out

i would be really surprised if this wasnt the beta... i dont see nor can think of anything else tha microsoft would be pulling out of their asses for something that everyone will love

plus imo it goes along with the whole Black 360.. why not go buy a new Black 360 and buy crackdown with it

yeah that dose sound right sinc people will be like ZOMG H3 i want a 360 so they buy the "ELITE" to be cool nd all the teens that wan a 360 this summer can pay for a 'ELITE" to

yeah lol... it makes sense, its simple marketing. you put something out that will gross a lot of money (the Black 360 is the base for the beta and halo 3 along with many other games and items for it) so people must buy the 360 to get those things... and for all the people that dont have one yet but are getting one for H3 this is the perfect time to release it to sell more copies of Crackdown and then more copies of H3

Edit: The 360 elite is the new black xbox 360 just to let anybody know that doesnt know already.
