Woah there cowboy. You have waited this long, wait one more month for the elite to come out. It only costs 80 more dollars but the hard drive is six times larger and is capable of hdmi right out of the box.

If, by chance, you really don't wan't an elite, then make sure you get a replacement plan because 360s crap out all the time.

Yes keep your original xbox too, just because some games (rarely) are not backwards compatible and its always fun to bring the original xbox to LAN parties.

1st, KEEP YOUR ORIGINAL XBOX FOR H2

2nd, get, at least, 1 year warranty because if your xbox 360 is a little bit old, it might broke after few months... watch out

if you buy the 300 one.... you cant go backwards compatible (play xbox games on 360)..... and you lose out on a shitload of memory.... and some games to buy/ look at:

as of right now you have two options for a 360. You have the core system for $300 and the pro system for $400.

Core system: 300
unit (with white plastic disc drive)
wire controller
composite cables

Pro System:400
Unit (with metallic disc drive)
20GB HDD (enables backwards compatability)
Compnent/compsite cables
wireless controller
headset
a few one month trials of xbox live

Elite (released April 29) $479.99
unit (black instead of white)
120GB HDD (enables backwards compatability)
HDMI cables
component/composite cable
wireless controller (black)
1080p cabability with no firmware updates
headset (black)
hard drive transfer cable (to go from one hard drive to a new one)

Its your choice but I highly highly suggest waiting a few more weeks for the elite.

i would have waited for the elite, but im very impacient, and my bday is sunday, so i wanted to play it right there, and i hear u can buy the bigger hard drive too(not sure if thats true), and u can also just get a black skin for 360
