360 Help - 07-05-2007, 03:27 PM
Well, I went on a little shopping spree yesterday and bought myself. After bumming off my brothers 360 for the past month or 2 I decided it was time to get my own. So... this is what I got:
- Xbox 360 Elite - Guitar Hero II (and Guitar) - Xbox 360 Wireless Headset (the official Microsoft one) I had previously bought my own controller, but it was connected to my brothers 360. Now, Im trying to connect the controller to my new one, but it doesnt seem to want to connect. Does anyone know how I can sync the controller to my new 360? Any help is greatly appreciated. Im also sure Ill have more questions as I poke around.

Nevermind... I got it.
Now Im trying to use my Component Cables for HD (since i dont have my new tv yet, which will have HDMI input). However, when I set the TV to the proper input, I switch the button on the 360 cables to 'HDTV' and have it plugged in all the right way, the screen is just fuzzy black/white. (GHEY!!!). If I keep everything plugged int he same way, and switch the button on the 360 A/V cable to 'TV' then the picture comes up... only the colors are whacky. Furthermore, if I use the 'tv' cable portion of the input, and turn my TV off of the Component input.... it all looks fine. So, I can use my 360 on the regular cables for the time being... but I want to get the HD cables working properly. Any input is always appreciated Thanks

It was unplugged, but I got that part working anyways. I forgot I had to push the 'sync' button on the front of the 360. I had it goin on the controller, but not the console.

You need gamerpoints before, which you can buy at the store or thru XBL. Also, you need the right cables and watch out using HD cables to an ordinary tv, not good. Oh yeah, hit me up when you get multiplayer for GH2.
