i'll put it like this...a real guitar is like a 100 times more complicated GH guitar (more "buttons" and a lot more to master, u have to strum more than one fat "string", etc.)...and if u master real guitar...u can actually make money/get famous

My brother, who unlike me is a phenomenal guitar player, well he is the worst guitar hero player I have ever seen because he cant get out of his head how different a real guitar is from a plastic 1 stringed 5 button guitar is

See, the thing is though, is what you can do with guitar hero in comparison to a real guitar.

As a matter of fact, yes, I can play the real guitar. Super well? no, I'm just decent.

But I guarantee nobody at least on this site can play something like Herman Li can, and guitar hero gives the ability to have fun doing something like it. Plus there are FAR fewer phenomenal guitar hero players than there are phenomenal guitar hero players.

He is the guy from Dragon force am i right?

Actually he is not that impressive at all, ask anyone who has seen him in concert and they will tell you how terrible he sounds. Reason why is he lays the same riff down over and over again, 15-20 times, that way if he makes a mistake playing his really fast riff you dont notice, also it makes it sound more impressive then it is. Honestly he may be the most over rated guitar player ever

Trust me on this, a studio can make anyone sound good on guitar

Just because someone can play really fast doesn't make him a great guitar player. I mean if you think about it that way Johnny Ramone would be an amazing guitar player but he was horrible. I love GH2 but it is no where near playing real guitar which Im sure guitar players know that. I think me and Snot talked about this yesterday while I carried him playing shadowrun.

My friends little brother taught himself how to play the guitar just a few years ago and has developed into a beast. He can't read notes, he just listens to songs and duplicates them perfectly. He hates Guitar Hero.

guitar- Takes way longer to learn the song
guitar hero- is harder to play the song because in through the fire and flames the begining is really a keyboard playing
