CoD4 - Ranks/Guns/Perks

so i thought i'd start a thread about what rank u are in CoD4 online and u can update it as u go. i also want to hear everyones favorite custom classes. so whats your favorite gun and perks combo.



I'm currently level 35. My custom class i use is:

Gun: Ak-47 - LOVEEEE the dmg on this baby.
Scope: Red dot - hate the enhanced zoom gun due to the woobly effect it gives.
Perks: Claymoresx2 - I'm a claymore whore.
Stopping Power - AK dmg with this boost is a 3 shot kill
Deep Impact - penetrating the walls is a nice aspect of this game.

i personally think last stand and martyrdom arent good perks for u since if u invested in stopping power u could have killed the guy before u died. juggernaut is a good one but i love the extra dmg to my bullets.

right about now is a good time to start using other weapons just to rank up faster and get closer to golden guns, unless u plan on presteging, and also all rifles and snipers already go through walls even without deep impact, so i suggest switching that, unless u use a smg or shoty, LMGs also go through automatically

depending on gametype i like running different setups, and right now im switching guns ever cpl of hours for the challenges, but this is the usual in a clan match... btw im a lvl 55

M16-red dot
golden deagle
flash nade
perk 1- 3 frags or bandolier
perk 2- stoping power
perk 3- steady aim- all around perfect to kill smg ppl, almost everything else in perk 3 cant help enouph

i dont understand why ppl are using the m16... i've won sooo many battles against ppl with that. maybe they are just horribad, or i get lucky everytime but i seem to come ahead with my ak.

I am trying to get all the weapons before I choose one. I just started and level 10 or something.

M16A1 was replaced with bursts instead of spray around 1980-90.
It could also be the M16A4, which can use optical sights, lasers, night vision devices and flashlights.
And I guess thats whats making it harder to use M16 in CoD4.
The bursts are slower, but if you do shoot someone with headshot you should still get an instant kill.
The AK47 is really fast, 3 shots in the breast and youre dead.
The damage is good, but its harder to spray with it.

I'm a 40 and I am still having trouble figuring out what weapons I like the most. I love the M16 with the Red Dot. I still need to finish the G36. I ♥ the SAW. I just got the P90 I think.

As far as my perk set up, it changes depending on how I play. I am an inconsistent player, so I need different things to help me at different times. I ♥ Martydom because I am always getting shot in the back. For some reason, the enemy always rounds a corner after I just got done looking behind my back. I also love my Claymores. So I guess it would look like this most of the time...........

Whatever weapon
Increased Bullet Damage
Claymores
Martydom

And I don't care, I am a camping SoB.


Hey MoGL3YyYy, are you gonna trade that in for Prestige? My friend told me it is alot of fun to go back through everything again.

In the Multiplayer demo I loved the M16. I used Red dot scope, stopping power, and the one that went through walls I think.

I used the M16 in open maps and SMG's or the M4 in close range maps.
