speak up if u have: Rockband. - 11-22-2007, 10:26 PM
im debating right now 50/50 as to whether to get this game or not. i want it for the drums, and i love the playlists they have since its more my tone of music. but the money is a lot and im just curious as to how the online gameplay and if its worth the money. so if u have Rockband, please speak up and give me ur opinion...
im hoping to make it to Play-N-Trade and ask to try it out.

Me and my friends got it on midnight release and have played the hell out of it ever since. A lot of people dislike it because of the guitar since it forces you to develop strumming (as you would if you really played the song) instead of speed picking as you would on GH3.
The DL content for it is already out and there's sooooooo much more on its way. Playing Enter the Sandman and "Green Grass and High Times" is fun as hell. If you plan on playing it with friends then this is for you. Doing vocals I found out is pretty fun also.

getting it today
cant wait i havent played it yet, but from what i have heard the d/l content is huge, and if your more into like kinda punk rock, there are more of those type songs that come with the game (i think from the wikipedia article i read) especially if you have friends that like to play, cause ive seen guys who have been doing "drum" battles and bass battles and guitar battles, (havent seen a vocal battle yet) and both gh3 and rock band are made by harmonix so you know that there gunna be good no matter what and the warranties for the instruments is supposidly really good |

Harmonix didn't do GH3..left on that. Even though Red Octane sold out on them with GH3 they came out better in the end. Leaving Activision with the flimsy-faced, poorly solid les paul and them creating a very solid, closer to scale strat.

Overall i love this game. So much more fun then Guitar Hero IMO. Drums are amazingly fun just really hard i can't even beat some songs on medium just not that cordinated i guess. I haven't sang yet.. Guitar pretty much like Guitar Hero.. and haven't done bass yet either.. I really love the charcter creation part also.. Get the lil rocker out in ya =0 I honestly think this game is worth the 170 package. especially playing with friends/family is great.Especially with the holidays coming up have alot of family over and sure they would love to play it..

Yes..But i think you can only battle eachother online. can't create a band with friends online. At least i haven't figured it out yet.. If you are able to that would be great and would like to know how =0
