Anything you get from a google search gives blogs from March of 07. Only one recent thing comes up and it's from a forum... not exactly something I would say can confirm that XBL has been hacked to the point where it is inoperable for most people.

i havent really had any troubles... a couple "game lobby closed" but nothing major

The Game Lobby Closed messages seemed to have gone down, but I'm still getting some occasional lag. Kind of off topic but playing CoD 4 campaign got me wondering about the Chernobyl meltdown and I found this picture. So the ferris wheel was actually there which is pretty cool that they took actual landmarks and put them in the game.
