i finally tried that hyperspeed thing

and i realized its the same button mashing speed as it would be on expert speed, but you have to pretty much memorize the notes because watching the notes is not in the question

what it actually helps do is spread out the notes, so on jordan-ish sections (they come up often enough on expert) you can actually distinguish the notes from each other. It actually helps once you reach a certain level of play.
