no, this is not a cat picture thread.........unless treason turns it into one.

ok, i installed my pinnacle studio software on my comp but i couldnt get into it cuz my pinnacle software isnt compatible with my vista edition or whatever. so i want to upgrade my pinnacle shtuff from version 10 to 11 or some version that will hopefully be compatible with my vista.

im looking for places i can upgrade it but whenever i find one, i have to pay like $50 if i want to upgrade.

so if anyone can help me find a free upgrade or like a free trial of pinnacle studio 11 it would be greatly appreciated.

pinnacle & dazzle arn't compatible w/ vista yet... just reboot comp to XP ...its; better then spending 50 bucks

i guess not, whatever would make me capture faster is the way i wanna go

i still use xp....i never even thought of switching to vista ....now you probably know why lol


ill probably go to vista in a year or so, or however long it takes them to fix all the shit thats wrong with it

its really nowhere as near as bad as u think...i thought it was terrible too until i got my lap top and it really is pretty sweet, and doesnt have anything noticeably wrong with it (tho i did download all the fixes for it that microsoft has out right now)

i wud say if i had to compare xp and vista....xp = vista

ben u can try downloading virtual dub...find the thread where thehalogod shows u how he captures and it has a link to download it there (u can pm him and ask him to show u where) idk if its compatible with vista but its worth a shot

and i duno...maybe its just cuz iv used xp for soo long, spent a long time on my comp with it, i just cant do the vista thing............yet

buut i know soon xp will be close to obsolete

supposedly there stoping upgrades from xp and are starting on SP2 for vista

I'm not positive if vdub works with vista, but here are all the links you will need.

vdub mpeg2
huffy codec

You don't need to download the huffy codec, but it is pretty much a raw compression so you get really good quality from it clicky

If you need help with settings or anything just let me know, I may be able to find the tutorial I wrote on it for Sticks, or you can search the video editing forum for it somewhere.
