Your punctuation/spelling/grammar is atrocious - just throwin' that out there.
English 101 notwithstanding, I agree with a lot of what you're saying, Mogley.
Let me first tell you all that I've actually owned H3 since midnight when it came out - my roommates (both guys) bought it for me for my birthday. That said, I didn't actually play it more than once every two weeks for about three months after it came out. What was I playing instead? Why H2, of course.
There are SO many freaking debates about H2 vs. H3 (or even H2/H3 vs. H1 for that matter) and I don't want to really reiterate every tiny detail about both perspectives. I can tell you though that as of late I've been quite addicted to H3. Let's see why... (truthfully I'm curious as to my change of heart as well).
First reason I'm certain is that my entire friends list is composed of primarily H3 players, while the remainder play random Arcade games and CoD4. One can't help but play what their friends are playing on xbl, as that's a HUGE reason most people play anything on live -- for the "social interaction" (now don't argue this term.. I realize I used social, but I hope you all understand that I'm not saying it's AS social as going out IRL and hanging with friends. That's irrelevant).
Second reason is MM. Yes, it's dumb. Yes, people are bad. Yes, I still love playing it and trying to see how high I can rank up on my own, because I too am bad!!

But I have this thing about ranking up..it's like a goal... and I <3 it. I'm not a "MM whore" though, I play plenty of customs and such, but I have to admit that I do enjoy it here and there. Mainly double team though. Actually, reflecting now, ONLY double team, lol.
Well shyt, this leads me to my third reason: double team is the best gametype on the planet. I don't know about you guys but it's mos' def' my favorite.
Fourth reason.... customs. As already stated, custom games are now true to their title: they are fully CUSTOMIZABLE. *gasp* Who woulda' thunk??? For those complaining about this or that, be it special equipment/nades, gameplay speed, etc.: customize it how you want it. Ummm duh?
And to address many of the complaints about the various junk strewn about H3... how can you overlook the fact that with the new items/situations comes new, more complex STRATEGIES. Remember teams preparing their strats for H2?? Don't overlook these for H3... one should be aware that opponents may possess a health regenerator, power drain, bubble shield, and so on, just as one would be aware that an opponent may be holding the sniper, rockets, sword, or now the horrific gravity hammer. Think about it... you change your play style around based on what your opponent is doing/using/holding. Strategies are different than those in H2, and that is the only difference. So please, none of this "OMG HAXORZ THIS IS B.S." crap when you're outplayed by that guy who strategically (or yes, accidentally,) withheld his health regen/power drain until the last moment. I applaud them. I want to slit their throats when it happens to me, but I applaud them all the same: I agree that they are ANNOYING. But you should agree that they can be TACTFUL.
I believe what's been keeping me on H3 is knowing that I'll be playing MLG stuff this season. A few girls have picked me up and I mean we're not good by any means but it's a lot of fun - I've missed MLG so much! MLG customs actually take out much of the junk that you guys don't like in H3, so my deepest apologies to you all that don't have good people on your friend's list that make things entertaining.
Don't forget: competition does not necessarily eliminate entertainment. I play competitively (and some would call it seriously) all the time, but it's always fun. If that's not your thing then just go and find others that want to play rocket race and other variants all the time.

Random fact: just 2 nights ago I mass messaged a buddy group on my AIM (the group is literally titled "Halo 2") to get on H2 and play an old school FFA with me and my buddy. OMG it was so fun. I think H3 has made me a better player.... I've been told that in a good H2 FFA one should be shooting 1,000+ shots (I believe itwasluck told me that) and I used to barely scrape 800 or 900. Now I shoot 1,200+ shots consistently in H2 FFAs. (To 50, not even unlimited). I also have a better accuracy, and the most exciting fact in my opinion: I CAN NOW DOUBLESHOT LIKE A MO'FO'
That's right boyz. Best watch out.

Too bad it doesn't matter now for h3... but my point here is I do still really love H2. I just understand - and respect - the differences.
Stop with the complaints. Appreciate or gtfo.
