Xbox go boom

ya so i turned on my xbox today(original xbox) and it started sparking and then smoking and then i smelled the frying of plastic. so i turned it off and then turned it back on after a minute to take out halo and play ghost recon 2. and it did it again but i got my game out so i played until it got to bad to play. haha, i get a 360 tomarrow.
P.S. i sprayed painted it twice. but not recently

and blackout, it did i turned it on again to get halo out to a safe place bc im already on my third halo 2 disc.

My Xbox did the same thing where it smoked and sparked to the point where my box wouldn't turn on anymore. It has to do with the faulty power cord. Microsoft had a recall on them. If you call Xbox and tell them that your system is fryed because of this then they should fix your Xbox for free and get you a new power cord. I sent mine in and within a couple of weeks I got mine back, as good as new for no cost. Hope I helped.

My 360 plug did it the other day, but only because it's been plugged in with about a thousand other things. Never happened to my old xbox.
