Can't connect with friends

Ok so for the last 2 days ive been trying to play xbox live with my friends that live near me like at my school i try and join their party or vice versa and it has said every time we try "sorry we are having network problems blah blah blah". Does any1 else have this problem?? or is it just me and everybody is gunna say im crazy...?

Try restarting your modem, or have someone else on your friends list make party and then have everyone join it. That problem happens to everyone, and it's really annoying. Really, really annoying.

Dude this happens to me all the time. I think it has something to do with a firewallthingy but i am not sure. If you want to play with your friend go find another friend who will host a pregame lobby that you can both jion---that what i usually do
