Is XBC monthly or a one time payment?

i'm running a 2.8GHz P4 overclocked to 3.1GHz, with 1.25 GBs of RAM. everything is optimized, but i'd still rather run the non-skinned version of anything. having green gradients on your buttons doesn't make you play any better, and sliding menus just makes you lag.

also, i've tested it. i played on my friends connection multiple times switching back and forth between skinned/non-skinned.

After about five tries with both version, my pings were much more consistent with non-skinned, and lower, as well.

Normally about 14-18ms on non-skinned, and 21-24ms on skinned.

In game, they spiked to 25-30ms non-skinned, and 40-45ms skinned.

Yeah, same here...and that's when I shut down everything that requires internet use on my computer (besides XBC)... The luckiest I've gotten was like, 60 ms... maybe a little less...

I get around 80 ms with XBC and my editing software running.

i dont know where you're at in washington. but i've got a pretty sick host (768k upstream) and i will throw up a room if there aren't any servers west of ohio.

you'll probably ping below 30 to me.
