My advice is to record at the highest bitrate possible, watch the video (once its in AVI format) and then experiment with compression. Find out if you can see a difference between 8mbps and 4mbps. I doubt you'll see much of a difference, if any.

fragger hit the nail on the head. i cant think of anything else to add to that... especially in that the file would be 300+mb and NOT worht the download
