you can still transfer it over, you just wont be able to get gold version, only silver.
Thats why ytou get a 2 month free so that you dont have to pay and you get the rest of the time the 360 gonna be commin out

Yeah the xbox 360 comes with a 2 month free of the Gold account ($399 package) in hopes that people will choose to carry it out for the full year. However, the XboX reps have told us that you should be able to change your gamertag as much as you want...which means you can choose to keep your old name as a Gold account...weird huh? Anyways don't hate me if I'm wrong...i work at gamestop and I'm just repeating what the Rep told us.

Sephiroth do you suck at everything? No dude i was wrong too but you get a 30 day trial of the Gold account for XboX 360...right now it is said that both the higher and the lower end package deals will be getting the trial. But for sure the $399 package will get one trial of Gold for sure. Xbox live Gold accounts should be priced around $69 for the full year.

JK about you sucking at everything too...but TheHaloGod sure made it look like you suck at Halo 2.
