i just bought battlefield 2 today...but i really have no friends on it to play with..so someone hook me up and show me the ropes

you should have bought it for pc. there's an expansion pack for the pc; in fact there's an entirely new game out already, battlefield 2142. i think the xbox version is just too slow and too different.

lol that and you can play with 64 people for the pc version. i think for specific maps/servers you can even have 128.

i dont play PC games...too boring...id rather play on the 360 that i payed an arm and a leg for and talk to people....no offense to pc gamers or anything..i just dont like pc games

i deleted my acct, or i may still have one, but not a whole lot of my friends used it. i dont play bf2 on my compter (it can't handle it), but i used to play it quite a bit on my roommate's computer (i'm living at home this semester). in any case my point was that its not hard to talk to people online in a pc game either. there's aim, various VoIP services, and most pc games work with some sort of software that usually has built in voice messaging/text messaging. although i guess pc games arent' as 'friendly' as console games, sometimes i find this to be a good thing,because you dont have little annoying 13 year old douchebags yelling. mommy and daddy are all too obliged to spend 150 on a console, but not too many will spend 1-2G's on a computer for little Sammy to play on. lol i guess the only other downside would be there aren't as many 'spauldings' in computer games, i'm guessing probably for the same reason. then again i dont play video games to meet girls. i mean i'm sure there are chicks who play quake and counterstrike, but i dont think the community has really built up as much for female gamers on the PC. then again i dont play video games with the intent of meeting with women.
