The ps3 can do about nothing more then my 360, and I wont be buying an over priced Blue ray game player.

sony stands more to lose with the ps3 by not having it be successful in america than m$ stands to lose by not having its product successful overseas. m$ knows they're coming in #2, but it's okay because their objective isn't to dominate the console market. the only way to win isn't necessarily to come in #1 all the time; i think m$ suceeds with the x360 because they know this, while sony still thinks they're number 1 in everything. it would explain why sony continues to push proprietary technology and formats that are overpriced/useless. sony has a habit of talking a good game and releasing a product that performs well below what they say. personally i dislike sony because i think they suffer from making myopic business decisions and could take a few lessons in basic economics: you cannot win in everything at once, just because you supply a good, does not mean you will generate demand for that good.

in my eyes sony represents everything wrong with the software/technology industry. i generally don't/refrain from purchasing anything sony for a lot of these reasons.

i would buy a wii before i bought a ps3.

I played the PS3 at MLG NY...sorry PhaLanX...the curiosity killed me and all I can tell you is save your money, buy a 360. I mwan it, the graphics are so much better.
