WOW...did I get screwed....

Ok, so here is my story. Around July or August I reserved my 360. I wasn't really worried about the high demand of 360s at the time because I was in a small town and I figured that not too many people would be reserving 360s. Well, little did I know that all the people from Memphis (the big ass city beside me) would be reserving at all the small town GameStops in fear of not getting a 360. Well, last week I got a call from GameStop that there would be a possibility that I would not be getting a 360. I got worried. So I go to GameStop and it turns out that almost 150 people have already reserved 360s at my local GameStop. Luckily though, I will be getting mine in less than a week or two. Still, I am pissed. Because I thought for a fact I would be getting one at launch. Sadly, Microsoft underestimated how many people would want in on their new console.

atleast you dont have to wait too long before you get it, some people have to wait ages

Yes, but you do not know how long I have been anticipating this launch. It killed a little part of me inside when the guy from GameStop said "You will not get your 360 at launch."

hahaha i dont even want it at all...i mean maybe sometime in the future...but i know how u feel i felt the same when i thought i wouldnt get my reserved halo 2 but turns out i was the 3rd person to reserve it so it was all good...but yeah x box 360 aint a big deal to me for some reason

because of these problems i have decided to wait untill the demand shrinks and the price goes down...

me too did you guys know a retailer can buy an xbox 360 for about 35$ my friend should know his dad bought him and his bros three lol

nope my friend's uncle and dad have been retailers their whole life and they already bought them. but its against the law to do that so no i cant get you one

I work in retail and that is bull crap right there. The cheapest we can get the platinum is like $360. Someone is pulling your leg. The wholesalers can't even get it for that price. Heck Microsoft would be out of business if they even sold it for $35 from them. The equipment it comes with costs more than $35.

Accident? Hardly... This wasn't an accident by far. Why then?... Its a marketing scheme. Why do I think that? When demand is high, what can you do? Over price it. Microsoft wants to keep it in high demand as long as possible.
